Final presentation of choreographic works by DISCO RIOT's (R)evolution Artist Interns, showcasing the outcome of the S P A C E Rising residency program.
DISCO RIOT presents S P A C E Rising 2026 Showcase at the City Heights Performance Annex on Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10, both nights starting at 7 PM. The program features three new choreographic works by the company's (R)evolution Artist Interns: Skyla Miles, Liz Fields, Tiffany Martinez-Delgado, Ethne Acosta, Eon Allum, and Hope Worth.
The showcase is the final presentation of the (R)evolution Artist Interns, the outcome of S P A C E Rising, a 10-week cohort-driven residency that paired six rising dance-makers in intensive training, research, collaboration, and experimentation. The program focused on creative inquiry, artistic development, networking, and cultural exchange. Throughout the residency, the company shared glimpses of the rehearsal process on Instagram; the resulting pieces are described as a mix of expressive, abstract, fantastical, and evocative.
The venue, the Performance Annex, is a black-box theatre connected to the City Heights/Weingart Branch Library, a two-story building that opened in November 1998 as part of the City Heights Initiative, a public-private partnership between the city and Price Charities. It is the only theatre the city owns and operates.

Tickets are $15 for artists, students, and low-income attendees, $25 for general admission, and $45 for those who want to pay it forward. Both performances start at 7 PM.
