Post-punk concert featuring Deceits with support from Casket Cassette, Black Season Witch and DJ Robin Roth.
Deceits play The Holding Company on Thursday, November 12, as part of their Hurt As Much As Me Tour 2026. They're a Los Angeles post-punk band led by Kevin 'Puppy' Moreno, who handles vocals and instruments, and Francisco Saenz. The show is a full bill: Casket Cassette, Black Season Witch, and DJ Robin Roth are all on the lineup, and it's a 21+ night.
Their sound pulls from deathrock, hardcore punk, dreampop, 90s screamo, and emo, all shaped into a darker take on the 1980s post-punk pioneered by The Cure and Joy Division. They describe themselves as "too romantic for the punks, too fierce for the goths," and they've listed The Cure, Human Tetris, Soviet Soviet, Sad Lovers & Giants, and Twin Tribes among their influences. It's a wide net of references—deathrock and hardcore on one end, dreampop and new wave on the other—that they pull together under that post-punk umbrella.
