Stand-up comedy show by Daniel Sloss presenting his 13th solo show, Bitter, at the Balboa Theatre.
Daniel Sloss brings his latest solo show, Bitter, to the Balboa Theatre on Thursday, October 15. It's his 13th solo production, and the tour is taking him across the US before he closes it out with a headlining debut at London's Wembley Arena on November 28.
If you're not familiar with him, Sloss is a Scottish comedy superstar who's been doing stand-up for more than half of his 35 years. He's toured 55 countries and run nine off-Broadway shows in New York. For a good chunk of 2021, he was the biggest ticket-selling comedian in the world. His special Jigsaw has a bit of a reputation for breaking up couples—apparently, he's signed hundreds of divorce papers because of it. He's released six hour-long specials so far: two on Netflix, one on HBO, and three through his own website.
Bitter is his newest hour, and it's the one he's touring right now. It's recommended for mature audiences, with adult themes and strong language, so it's not the kind of thing you'd bring the kids to. It's also a phone-and-devices-off event, which means no photography, filming, recording, or streaming allowed inside. You'll want to leave your phone in your pocket for this one.

The show starts at 7 PM, and the doors open an hour before, so you've got plenty of time to get settled before he takes the stage. It's a single-night stop in San Diego on a Thursday, and the Balboa Theatre is the spot.
