Dance music DJ Cheyenne Giles performs at the Niteharts festival in San Diego.
Cheyenne Giles plays Niteharts on Sunday, October 11, as part of the Niteharts festival here in San Diego. It's a homecoming of sorts: Giles is a San Diego native, and this is a dance set in his own backyard.
If you're not familiar with his work, the sound he's known for is called 'Bounce'—heavy on the bass and built for a dance floor. He first made a name for himself in 2018 working with Knock2, and since then he's moved through some of the biggest labels in dance music. He signed to Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records and later to Tiësto's Musical Freedom in 2019. Along the way, he's picked up a few accolades: he was named a Top 100 DJ in 2021 and took home Remixer of the Year in both 2019 and 2024. He also put out an official track with The Chainsmokers that's passed 20 million streams.
He's played the big rooms and the big festivals, headlining Hakkasan and Brooklyn Mirage, and appearing at EDC Orlando, Beyond Wonderland, and Veld Music Festival. He's also toured as Tiësto's support act in Las Vegas, so he's used to playing for a crowd that's there to dance. This set brings that same energy to San Diego.
