Celebrating Women Summit 2026

San Diego Magazine is hosting the Celebrating Women Summit 2026 on Wednesday, November 4, at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar. It's their annual gathering around the Celebrating Women Awards, which recognize women working across the city's different industries.

There are 15 categories in total, and each one honors two people: a Pioneer and a Rising Star. The Pioneer award goes to someone with a long track record of work in their field, and the Rising Star goes to someone who's making a name for themselves. On top of those 30 awards, the magazine's editors choose a Pioneer of the Year and a Rising Star of the Year, so there are 32 awards handed out across the board. The categories cover a wide range of San Diego's professional landscape, from the arts and sciences to business and community leadership.

One of the things that sets this apart from a typical awards ceremony is the public's role. The people's choice winners in each category are decided by public vote, so the community gets a say in who takes home the awards. It's a good way to see who's being recognized across the city, from the established names to the newer faces.

The summit runs from 4:00 to 6:30 PM on November 4 at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego.
