Ben Bankas LIVE!

Ben Bankas is headlining The American Comedy Co. on Saturday, October 17, for a night of stand-up in the Gaslamp Quarter. He's a comedian who built his following from viral online content to sold-out club dates, and his work has landed him on HBO, Hulu, and Comedy Central. If you've seen him online, this is a chance to catch him live in a room rather than on a screen.

Bankas is known for sharp wit and observational humor, and for a fearless approach to social and political topics that he tempers with self-deprecating comedy. He works with a distinctive, often unfiltered style that takes a fresh look at contemporary life and culture. It's the kind of set that doesn't shy away from the things people usually dance around, but keeps it grounded in his own perspective.

The American Comedy Co. is an intimate stand-up room in downtown San Diego, with seating options that place you either up close to the stage or with a broader view of the room. It's a dedicated comedy space, so the focus stays on the performance. One thing to keep in mind before you go: the venue enforces a two-item minimum purchase per person, so you'll want to order a couple of drinks or snacks during the show.

The show starts at 7 PM, with doors opening at 6:15 PM, so you've got plenty of time to get settled before the set begins. Tickets are $29. The club is at 818 B 6th Ave in the Gaslamp Quarter, right in the heart of downtown San Diego.
