Heavy metal concert featuring August Burns Red, Underoath, Atreyu and As Cities Burn on the 'The Define The Great Line 20th Anniversary Tour'.
August Burns Red play SOMA on Tuesday, November 10, as part of their Define The Great Line 20th Anniversary Tour. They're not coming alone: Underoath, Atreyu, and As Cities Burn are all on the bill, so it's a full night of heavy music rather than a single act. The show starts at 6 PM at 3350 Sports Arena Blvd in San Diego.
August Burns Red is a five-piece from Lancaster, Pennsylvania: John 'JB' Brubaker on lead guitar, Brent Rambler on rhythm guitar, Matt Greiner on drums, Jake Luhrs on lead vocals, and Dustin Davidson on bass. The band goes back to 2003, when they started with marathon jam sessions on a farm belonging to Greiner's family. Since then, they've picked up two GRAMMY nominations, and their 2015 album Found In Far Away Places was their second consecutive Top 10 debut on the Billboard 200. The single 'Identity' earned a GRAMMY nod for Best Metal Performance, and both 'Identity' and 'Ghosts' (featuring Jeremy McKinnon) have each passed 3 million streams on Spotify.

Their eighth full-length, Phantom Anthem, came out on Fearless Records and was recorded with longtime producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland. This San Diego date is part of the Define The Great Line 20th Anniversary Tour, so the set is built around the record that's turning twenty this year. With Underoath, Atreyu, and As Cities Burn filling out the rest of the lineup, it's a long night of metal. Doors open at 6 PM at SOMA, 3350 Sports Arena Blvd, San Diego, CA 92110.
