Audien plays Nova SD on Saturday, November 14, starting at 10 PM. It's a live electronic dance music set, and he's the only name on the bill.

If you're not familiar with the name, Audien is Nate Rathbun, a Grammy-nominated producer and songwriter from Mystic, Connecticut, who's become a staple of progressive house. He got his start back in 2008 with releases on Anjunabeats, Armada Music, Spinnin' Records, and Astralwerks, and has earned support from the likes of Tiësto, Above & Beyond, and Armin van Buuren. In 2014, he put out a Grammy-nominated remix of Bastille's "Pompeii," which ended up as one of the five most played tracks at Tomorrowland and one of the most played at Electric Daisy Carnival and Coachella. He released his debut album, Escapism, in November 2019.

Beyond the dance floor, he's worked with artists like Lady Antebellum, MAX, and Echosmith, and has done official remixes for Michael Jackson, Coldplay, and Halsey. That mix of club-ready house and pop songwriting is a good way to frame what he does.

On the practical side, Nova SD is at 454 Sixth Ave in downtown San Diego. The night is strictly 21+, and it's a cashless venue, so leave the cash at home.
