Electronic music performance by Amtrac as part of his Dream Live Tour at Music Box.
Amtrac plays Music Box on Saturday, November 28, as part of the Dream Live Tour. It's a single-bill night with Amtrac as the only act on the lineup.
If you're not familiar with the name, Amtrac is the project of Caleb Cornett, a Los Angeles-based artist, DJ, producer, remixer and multi-instrumentalist. He's also the founder of the label Openers, which he launched in 2017. He got his start with the 2011 debut Came Along, followed by the 2016 EP Lost In Motion and the 2017 EP 1987. Two tracks from that one, "Never Lost" and "Piano Boy," each passed 6 million Spotify streams, and his total has since gone past 100 million. He's remixed acts like Two Door Cinema Club, Elderbrook, Sigur Rรณs and Chromatics, and has played festivals including Ultra Music Festival, EDC Las Vegas, Osheaga and Holy Ship!.
This tour comes on the heels of his 2024 album Oddyssey, released on Openers and RCA Records. It's more synth-oriented than his earlier work and features four tracks he sings himself, with guest vocals from Lali Puna and Alex Metric. Between that and the older EPs, there's a fair bit of ground for him to cover in one set.
