Stand-up comedy show by Ali Wong at the San Diego Civic Theatre.
Ali Wong is bringing her stand-up to the San Diego Civic Theatre on Saturday, January 16, 2027. It's a single-night stop in San Diego, and the show starts at 8 PM.
If you've followed her work, you know she doesn't just do stand-up. Wong is an Emmy award-winning actress, comedian, writer, and producer from San Francisco, and her comedy has a long history on Netflix. She's put out three specials there—Baby Cobra, Hard Knock Wife, and the Emmy-nominated Don Wong—and her fourth, Ali Wong: Single Lady, came out in October 2024 and earned her a Golden Globe. That's the stand-up side of things, and it's what she's bringing to the stage here.
But there's a whole other side to her career. In 2023, she starred in and executive produced the dark comedy series Beef, opposite Steven Yeun, which went on to win eight Emmy Awards. She also co-wrote and starred in the 2019 romantic comedy Always Be My Maybe alongside Randall Park, and in that same year she published the New York Times bestselling memoir Dear Girls. Between the specials, the acting, and the writing, she's built a career that spans a few different rooms.
