Group exhibition by five San Diego artists presenting visual art, installation, sound and multidisciplinary work, with live performances and music.
The Woo in Barrio Logan hosts 5ive - 5 Artists, Experiences, a group exhibition opening Saturday, October 10, at 12 PM. It's presented by the San Diego Artist Incubator (SDAI) Round 2, in partnership with Subcultura Curation, All For Logan, and The Woo. The show is open to the public.
Five San Diego artists are showing: Joe Cantrell, Cathy Carey, Alexandra Carter, Miki Vale, and Miguel Galvan. The exhibition is set up as a self-guided experience, so you move through The Woo at your own pace. Along the way, you'll find visual art, installation, sound, and multidisciplinary work. The evening adds live performances, music, and light bites by Brujas Cocina.
SDAI describes the project as a space where artists can experiment, share new work, and connect directly with the community. The mix of mediums—visuals, installations, sound—means it's more of a walk-through than a traditional gallery show, and the live elements in the evening shift it toward a performance. The five artists involved are all local to San Diego.
