Panel discussion with artists from the UTSA Artist-in-Residence Public Art for Public Schools program, part of the With a Shared Vision exhibition.
Bihl Haus Arts is hosting an artists panel on Saturday, October 17, from 2 PM to 4 PM, as part of the With a Shared Vision exhibition. The panel brings together artists from the UTSA Artist-in-Residence Public Art for Public Schools program, so if you've been following the show and want to hear the people behind it talk through their work, this is the afternoon to do it.
The exhibition itself is the result of that residency: it shows work created by students during the program, which they worked on alongside the artist Paola. The show opened on October 10 and runs through October 24, so the panel falls right in the middle of its run. If you haven't seen the work yet, you can catch it before the panel—the gallery is open Fridays and Saturdays from 1 PM to 4 PM.
Behind the scenes, the program is presented by UTSA Arts, the University of Texas at San Antonio's hub for connection, creativity, and imagination. It's the university's home for public arts programs, community collaborations, and research initiatives that bring San Antonians into the city's cultural life. They've described their vision as making San Antonio the artistic heart and soul of Texas, and this residency is one of the ways they're putting that into practice.
