A rock and country-folk night featuring The Yawpers and Paisley Fields at The Lonesome Rose, presented by Nowhere Road Presents.
The Yawpers and Paisley Fields play The Lonesome Rose on Friday, October 16, with Nowhere Road Presents putting it on. It's a double bill that puts two different kinds of American music on the same stage in one night.
The Yawpers bring a gritty, high-energy rock sound, described as having a raw, blues-punk edge they've honed across several acclaimed albums. It's the kind of set that leans into the loud, loose side of roots rock. Sharing the bill is Paisley Fields, who works a different angle: a blend of country and folk with a contemporary twist. The two acts sit on opposite ends of the same family tree, and the pairing is aimed at fans of roots rock, alt-country, and strong songwriting.

The venue is The Lonesome Rose, 2114 N. St Mary's St., which is billed as the oldest honky tonk on the St. Mary's Strip in San Antonio. It's an intimate room, so you'll be close to the stage for both sets. Doors open at 8 PM, and the show starts at 9 PM. One thing to keep in mind: the night is 21 and up, so bring your ID.
