The show is set up as a journey through his career, starting with his humble beginnings and moving toward his place as one of the greatest songwriters and performers of all time. It does that by combining faithful recreations of the original music with visuals and storytelling, so you get the songs and the context they came from in the same evening.
It's put on by the same producers behind The Simon and Garfunkel Story and The Life and Music of George Michael, so it follows that same format: a career-spanning look at a songwriter's life rather than just a setlist of hits.
