Six Flags Fiesta Texas Fright Fest with haunted mazes, scare zones, live entertainment and nighttime thrill rides.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas is back with Fright Fest, presented by Snickers®, and it's taking over the whole park for the Halloween season. If you've been before, you know the drill: the park transforms into a haunt where zombies and ghouls run the show, with haunted houses and scare zones scattered throughout. This year, there's plenty of new material to work through.
On the new side of things, there are two new scare zones: Cirkus Bezerkus: Big Top Terror and Alley of the Dead. There's also a new The Conjuring Universe maze to walk through. If you're looking for something familiar, SAW: Legacy of Terror is returning, so that one's back in the mix alongside the new additions.
Between the mazes and the zones, there's a fair amount of live entertainment. Arania's Nightmare is the comical one, featuring the Black Widow Bride, and The Awakening plays at the Silver Star Carousel. Then you've got Dr. Fright's Final Freak Out and Dead Man's Party to round out the lineup. It's a good spread, so you can spend as much or as little time with the shows as you want.

One thing that's worth keeping in mind is that the park changes gears depending on the time of day. During the day, the atmosphere is geared toward younger guests, with Looney Tunes Spooky Town, a Kid's Costume Party hosted by WBAT's Scarlet O'Scarea, the Six Flags Spooktacular Street Party, and Scary-Oke. Once it gets dark, the park shifts into the haunt experience, with the haunted houses and scare zones taking over alongside the live shows. If you're bringing kids, the daytime is where you'll find the family-friendly side of things; if you're there for the scares, you'll want to be there after dark. Fright Fest is running at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio.
