Monthly, family-friendly evening at the historic Main Plaza with local makers' shopping, live music, neighborhood food and drink and light shows on the San Fernando Cathedral.
Second Saturday is back at Main Plaza on Saturday, October 17, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's a monthly evening in downtown San Antonio, hosted by the Main Plaza Conservancy in partnership with SA Local Market, and it's been running since 2020.
The night is built around three things: local shopping, live music, and food and drink. You'll find makers from around the area selling their work, local artists playing live, and neighborhood favorites serving up food and drinks. The plaza itself has a long history of hosting markets that support San Antonio's small businesses, going back to the city's founding days.
The highlight of the evening is San Antonio | The Saga, a light show projected onto the façade of the historic San Fernando Cathedral. There are two showings throughout the night, and it's been captivating audiences for more than a decade. It's the kind of thing that works best when you're actually there in the plaza, watching the cathedral light up.
