A recurring monthly series blending breathwork, gentle movement and meditation to restore balance, peace and energy, with a nature-based journaling practice.
Nature Rx: Qigong Meditative Movement returns to Confluence Park on Wednesday, October 28, from 7 PM to 8:30 PM. It's part of a recurring series that runs on the last Wednesday of every month, so if you miss this one, there's usually another chance coming up soon.
The session blends breathwork, gentle movement, and meditation, with the goal of restoring balance, peace, and energy. It's not a high-intensity workout—it's more about slowing down and paying attention. The movement part is qigong, a traditional practice that focuses on coordinating breath with slow, flowing motions. You don't need to be an expert or have a background in meditation to join in; it's designed for anyone who wants to spend a little time on their breath and their body.
Once the movement wraps up, the session shifts into a nature-based journaling practice. The prompt asks you to notice how the land, your body, and your emotions interconnect through somatic experience—basically, paying attention to how you feel in your skin while you're out in the open air. You don't need to bring your own supplies, either. They provide everything you'll need: a journal, paper, a writing utensil, and colored pencils, so you can just show up as you are.
