Macbeth by Out of Chaos

Out of Chaos brings their version of Macbeth to The Charline McCombs Empire Theatre on Thursday, October 15, with two performances: one at 11 AM and another at 7 PM. It's a fast, physical retelling of Shakespeare's tragedy of ambition and betrayal, and it runs about 80 minutes.

The production is built around two award-winning actors who play more than 20 characters between them, so you'll see them shifting roles on the fly rather than a full cast filling the stage. They combine visual storytelling with staging designed for audiences of all ages. Each stop on the tour adapts to the venue while keeping the same style, so the show stays the same regardless of where it's playing.

If you're not usually one for Shakespeare, this is a good way in. It's a stripped-down, high-energy take that cuts straight to the heart of the story without the slow buildup you might expect from a classical production. The small cast means the focus stays on the two actors carrying the whole thing.

Both shows are at The Charline McCombs Empire Theatre, 226 N St Mary's St, San Antonio, TX 78205, on Thursday, October 15, at 11 AM and 7 PM CT.
