Outdoor screening of the 2019 film Little Women directed by Greta Gerwig as part of the Tobin Center's Cinema on Saturdays series.
Greta Gerwig's Little Women is playing outdoors at the Will Naylor Smith River Walk Plaza on Saturday, December 12. It's part of Cinema on Saturdays, the Tobin Center's monthly outdoor movie night, which runs on the second Saturday of every month.
If you haven't seen this one yet, it's Gerwig's 2019 take on the Louisa May Alcott classic, following the four March sisters as they grow up and navigate family, ambition, and love. It's a fan favorite for a reason, and it's the kind of movie that works well in an open-air setting. The screening is projected on a 32-foot LED video wall, so you'll get a clear picture even if you're not right up front.
The plaza opens at 6 PM, and the film starts at 7 PM. There are concessions and a bar on site, so you can grab a drink and some snacks before the movie kicks off. The screenings run rain or shine, and if the weather turns, the whole thing moves indoors, so you don't have to worry about a sudden San Antonio downpour ruining your plans.

Cinema on Saturdays is a recurring thing, not a one-off. The Tobin Center organizes it around quarterly themed series, with a curated lineup of fan-favorite titles projected on that same 32-foot LED wall. Since it's on the second Saturday of each month, it's an easy one to keep on your radar for whenever you're in the mood for a movie under the stars. Admission is free.
