Iron & Wine plays Stable Hall on Friday, October 23, with DUG opening. If you're not familiar with the name, Iron & Wine is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist and producer Sam Beam, who records and performs under it. It's not a band in the traditional sense, but a project he's built around his own writing and playing.
Beam's work has always sat at the quieter end of indie rock, and that's what you'll find here. He handles the singing and the instruments himself, and the set follows that same stripped-back approach. DUG opens the night, so there's a second act to settle into before Beam takes the stage.

One thing to keep in mind: the show is sold out. If you already have your tickets, you're set; if not, you'll have to look for a transfer or a resale. Doors open at 7 PM, so you've got plenty of time to get in and find your spot before the music starts.
