A dog-friendly trick-or-treat trail with pet vendors, food trucks, photo-ops and a SNIPSA adoption fair.
Howl-O-Ween takes over the Gunn Family Coyote Dog Park at The Rock at La Cantera on Saturday, October 24, from 4 PM to 7 PM. It's a trick-or-treat trail for dogs, and it's open to all ages, so you can bring the whole family along with your pup.
The main draw is the pup trick-or-treat trail, but there's plenty more to it than that. There's a pet costume contest for the dogs, a local pet vendor market, and a live SNIPSA adoption fair on site. You'll also find festive photo-ops to capture the costumes, and local food trucks to keep you fed while you're out. It's the kind of afternoon that works just as well if you're there for the dog treats as if you're looking for a new pet.
Howl-O-Ween is part of Rocktober, The Rock at La Cantera's month-long celebration of fall. The whole venue fills up with autumn festivities throughout the month, with live music, Spurs game nights, family festivals, and outdoor movie nights. That celebration runs daily from 9 AM to 11 PM at Frost Plaza, and most of the programming is free and open to the public. This year's edition adds Coyote's Corn Corral, a giant interactive corn play pit presented by Bright Event Rentals that debuted on the day of Pumpkin Palooza.
