A musical collaboration featuring Gov't Mule and Ziggy Marley, with Yola opening, at the historic Majestic Theatre in San Antonio.
Gov't Mule and Ziggy Marley play the Majestic Theatre on Wednesday, October 14, with Yola opening. It's a double bill that puts two very different traditions on the same stage: rock improvisation and reggae storytelling. The Majestic is a historic 1929 venue in downtown San Antonio, known for its Spanish Mediterranean design.
Gov't Mule is led by Grammy winner Warren Haynes, and they've spent over three decades building a following around honest, organic, improvisational rock. They have more than 20 studio and live albums behind them, and their 2023 record Peace... Like A River brought in guests like Billy F Gibbons, Ivan Neville, Billy Bob Thornton, Ruthie Foster, and Celisse. The band's whole thing is that improvisational side, so the set will likely lean into the jam rather than sticking to the records.
Ziggy Marley, the eldest son of Bob and Rita Marley, is a nine-time Grammy and Emmy winner with a career spanning nearly 40 years. He took control of his masters and publishing through Tuff Gong Worldwide and Ishti Music, and he runs the charity URGE, which benefits children in Jamaica, Africa, and North America. His part of the night brings the reggae storytelling to the mix.

Between the two of them, it's a rock jam and a reggae legacy sharing one bill, and Yola opens the night. Doors open at 6 PM, and the show starts at 7 PM. A quick heads-up on the bag policy: bags larger than 12" x 6" x 12" and all backpacks are not allowed, except for diaper and medical bags.
