Funjelah Live - Podcast Taping Featuring Anjelah Johnson-Reyes and Special Guest

Anjelah Johnson-Reyes is coming to the Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater at the Tobin Center on Tuesday, October 13, for a live podcast taping. She'll be joined by a special guest, and the whole thing is built around the audience rather than a set script.

Here's how it works: before the recording, you can submit your own 'maditudes and gratitudes'—the things you're annoyed by and the things you're thankful for. During the show, Anjelah picks through them at random and discusses them on the spot. Since the audience provides the material, the conversation goes wherever the submissions take it, and you're as much a part of the recording as she is.

The venue bills the night as a session of curated laughs and sharp wit from seasoned performers, aimed at comedy fans and stand-up enthusiasts. If you're into that kind of thing, it's a good way to see her work in a more conversational, open-ended format than a standard stand-up set.

There's also a meet-and-greet add-on available for $100, which includes a brief meeting with Anjelah, a photo, and a signed item. It's sold separately from your ticket, so you'll need to grab it as an extra if you want it. The taping runs from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater, part of the Tobin Center at 100 Auditorium Cir. in San Antonio.
