An exhibition of pumpkins and seasonal produce at the San Antonio Botanical Garden.
Fall for Squash! is happening at the San Antonio Botanical Garden on Wednesday, October 14, an exhibition of squash and seasonal products. It's a seasonal display that puts the autumn harvest on full view, and since it's at the Garden, you'll find it set within the grounds rather than inside a gallery. The focus is on the squash and the seasonal produce of the season, so it's a straightforward look at the plants that define this time of year.
If you haven't spent much time there, the San Antonio Botanical Garden is a 39-acre urban oasis near downtown San Antonio. It works as a museum of plants, a living classroom, and a research and conservation facility, but it's also an entertainment venue where art, architecture, music, and theatre come to life. Admission is free every day, and there's a members-only hour before opening. For Bexar County residents, Neighbors in Nature Days bring admission down to $7 on select days. Membership ranges from Individual to Patron, and there's a $25 annual Community Membership for families receiving SNAP benefits. Perks include unlimited free admission, class and camp discounts, the Member Library, the members-only magazine Vibrante, and reciprocal admission to more than 360 gardens, arboreta, and conservatories across North America.
