San Antonio's largest fall pet adoption celebration with more than 150 adoptable pets, vendor booths, live music, food trucks and a pumpkin patch at Camargo Park.
Dogtober is back at Camargo Park this weekend, Saturday, Oct 17 and Sunday, Oct 18, from 11 AM to 6 PM. It's San Antonio's largest fall pet adoption celebration, and it returns to the park after last year's success, with the organizers aiming to send even more pets home this time around.
There are more than 150 adoptable pets on site, and the festival builds a whole day around them. You'll find a pumpkin patch, about 40 local vendor booths, live music, food trucks, and a foster pet paw-rade. If you do bring a new pet home, the adoption covers the first round of vaccinations, the first month of flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, spay or neuter surgery, lifetime pet training support, and a free VCA health exam, plus some free goodies for the new pet parents.
If you're serious about adopting, there's an early access family pass that lets adults and children under 18 in an hour early, so you get first pick of the adoptable pets, priority parking, and a few extra surprises. Space for that one is limited, so it's worth grabbing early if that's your plan.
