Ballots & Brews - Inside the Midterms: All Eyes On Texas

Texas Public Radio is hosting Ballots & Brews - Inside the Midterms: All Eyes On Texas on Monday, October 26, a conversation about the upcoming elections in Texas. It's held at their studio, 321 W Commerce St in downtown San Antonio.

The two people leading the discussion are Andrea Drusch, TPR's Government & Politics Senior Reporter, and David Martin Davies, who hosts The Source and Texas Matters. Between them, they cover the state's political beat from two different angles: Drusch follows the policy and the players in the statehouse, and Davies handles the daily news and long-form interviews that shape the public conversation. Having them both in the room means you'll get the reporting and the hosting perspectives on the same set of races.

If you've been following the midterms, this is a chance to hear the people who track them for a living talk through what's actually happening on the ground. It's not a rally or a campaign stop; it's a conversation between two reporters who spend their days digging into the numbers and the narratives that define Texas politics.

The event runs from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, with the lobby doors opening at 5:00 PM, so you have a bit of a window to get settled before it kicks off. Admission is free for TPR and SA Report members, and $10 for future members.
