Live solo acoustic performance by Austin Burns, a multi-instrumentalist from Cardiff, California, at Smash'd.
Austin Burns plays Smash'd on Thursday, October 15, from 6:30 to 9 PM. He's a multi-instrumentalist from Cardiff, California, who plays drums, guitar, and sings, and he's handling the whole set on his own. The performance is solo acoustic, so it's just him up there.
His sets move between original material and well-chosen covers with the ease of someone who's been doing this a long time and genuinely loves every minute of it. There's a natural, lived-in feel to the way he puts a show together, and he brings a one-man energy to the acoustic format. If you're into a singer-songwriter who can hold down the rhythm and the melody at the same time, this is right up that alley.
Smash'd is at 520 East Grayson Street in San Antonio, and entry is free. There's free parking, and Happy Hour runs from 5 to 7 PM with half off apps, so if you get there early, you can grab a drink and a snack before the music starts. The set runs from 6:30 to 9 PM, which gives you plenty of time to settle in.

This isn't a one-off, either. Burns is scheduled to play the venue on three more Thursdays: November 5, November 12, and December 3, all starting at 6:30 PM. If you miss this one, you've got a few more chances to catch him over the next couple of months.
