A fashion show supporting domestic violence awareness with live music and a VIP reception, presented by Fashion For Life.
Purple Reign: Evolution comes to the Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater at the Tobin Center on Saturday, October 17. It's a fashion show presented by Fashion For Life, and the timing is the point: it's staged to mark National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which runs throughout October. The whole thing is a fundraiser, and every dollar raised goes to support victims of domestic violence through charitable initiatives.
On the runway, the show brings together prominent male fashion figures alongside rising local designers and more established names. It's a mix of the two: the established side of the industry and the new talent coming up here in San Antonio. The live music runs through the evening, and the runway is just one part of the program.

If you want to make a full evening of it, there's a VIP reception from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, and the main presentation starts at 7 PM. VIP seating is $147.50, an all-in price that includes the pre-performance reception. The whole thing wraps up by 9 PM, so it's an early start and an early finish.
