A festive day of shopping with 80+ local artisan vendors, holiday music, and activities at the Tobin Center.
The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts is hosting its annual Holiday Art Market on Saturday, November 28, from 10 AM to 4 PM. It's a family-friendly day of shopping, with more than 80 local artisan vendors set up across the outdoor spaces on the Tobin's campus. Along with the booths, there'll be holiday music and activities throughout the day.
The market is part of a series of curated events the Tobin runs on its outdoor campus throughout the year, and this one is built around the idea of bringing the community together to shop local. The focus is on fine arts and high-end, handcrafted artisan products, so it's more of a curated collection than a general craft fair. When the center selects its vendors, it looks for creative integrity, quality, and imagination, and it puts out an open call to local artists, makers, and artisans to apply for a spot.
Because it's an open call, the vendors are local to the area, and the variety comes from that mix of artists and makers rather than a single theme. With over 80 of them in one place, you'll find a wide range of work to look through in a single afternoon. The music and activities run alongside the shopping, so it works as a full day out as much as a place to pick up gifts.
