Monthly deep-dive class led by Travis Rasmussen on the tradition, meaning and symbolism of the Elder and Younger Futhark runic letters.
Rune Development is back at Crone's Hollow on Wednesday, October 28, as part of its monthly series on the Elder and Younger Futhark. It's a deep dive into the tradition, meaning, and symbolism of the runic letters, and since it runs on a cycle, you can jump in whenever you like.
Each session focuses on one 'Aett'βa family of eight runic lettersβand looks at how they're used in charms, sorcery, divination, ciphers, and writing. The course moves through five classes, cycling from the Elder to the Younger Futhark, so you don't have to have been there from the start to get your bearings. It's built for open dialogue and different opinions, with the understanding that each student's own interpretation sits alongside the traditional meanings. The only hard line is a zero-tolerance policy for racism, hate, or bigotry.
Leading the sessions is Travis Rasmussen, also known as The Wizard of Ogden. He's an ordained Pagan Minister, Druid, and Sorcerer, an eclectic practitioner of High Magick and the Occult with 17 years of experience in Tarot, Oracle, Runes, Scrying, Psychometry, Sigil Craft, and Sorcery & Spellwork. That's a lot of ground to cover, and it's the kind of background that lets him speak to the runes from a few different angles at once.
