Community-focused outdoor yoga flow session held every Monday in Dix Park, open to all fitness levels and youth aged 12 and over.
Yoga in the Park is back at Dix Park on Monday, October 19, as part of a weekly series that's been running through the fall. The session takes place at Harvey Hill, right in the middle of the park, and it's an outdoor flow class led by Aubrey Anderson. It's open to all fitness levels, so you don't need to be a regular yogi to join in.
If you're bringing someone younger, the class is open to youth aged 12 and over, provided they're registered and accompanied by an adult. You'll need to bring your own yoga mat and a water bottle. It's also worth registering for each week you plan to attend—that's how you'll get weather cancellation notices, since the class is called off if the weather turns.
This particular date is one of five sessions held in October, following classes on September 28 and October 5 and 12, with one more to follow on October 26. While the series usually runs Mondays from 6 PM to 7 PM, these October dates shift an hour earlier, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The whole thing is free to the public, thanks to donors to the Dix Park Conservancy.
