Immersive Halloween pop-up cocktail bar that turns Wye Hill's taproom into a witch's hut with a 'Potions & Elixirs' menu and tableside theatrics.
Witch, Please! is taking over Wye Hill Kitchen & Brewing for a Halloween pop-up bar that runs from September 25 through October 31. It's a full transformation of the taproom into a moody witch's hut, inspired by North Carolina folklore and an ancient apothecary, with flickering candlelight, weathered spell books and hanging herbs. It's the kind of place that feels more like a set piece than a bar, and it stays open daily through the end of October.
The drinks come from a 'Potions & Elixirs' menu that pairs botanical flavors with 'active effects'—the kind of functional descriptions you'd expect from a spell book—and tableside theatrics like scorched herbs, smoking dry ice and dramatic pours. The signature cocktails are served in custom ceramic keepsake mugs, so you walk away with something to keep. The kitchen is running a seasonal, chef-curated menu to match, with dishes like polenta-battered frog legs, squid ink risotto and pumpkin gnocchi.
If you're into the occult side of things, there's a specific night to keep on your radar: Tarot Tuesdays. Every Tuesday in October, the room hosts a live reader from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, so you can get your cards read while you're there. It's a good excuse to make a Tuesday night out of it rather than just dropping in on a weekend.

Wye Hill bills this as the only immersive Halloween pop-up cocktail bar of its kind in the Raleigh area, and it follows in the footsteps of their annual Sippin' Santa transformation, one of the city's original holiday destinations. Admission is free, and you'll find it at 201 S Boylan Ave in downtown Raleigh. It runs daily from September 25 through October 31, so you've got plenty of time to swing by before the month is up.
