Wine Tasting on the Rooftop

10th & Terrace is hosting another guided wine tasting on Thursday, October 15, from 5 to 7 PM. This one is led by Laurence Vuelta of Sunrise Wine, who'll walk you through the selections and share the stories behind the wines and the winemakers who made them. It's a complimentary event, so you can come by and taste without paying for the tasting itself.

If you haven't been, 10th & Terrace is the rooftop restaurant and bar inside the Residence Inn Raleigh Downtown at 616 S. Salisbury St. It serves contemporary American fusion dishes and has outdoor seating, so you can hang out on the terrace while you work your way through the pours. The tasting is presented by the hotel, and since it's guided by a sommelier, you'll get a bit of context with each glass rather than just pouring on your own.

One thing to keep in mind is that this is part of a regular series: the tasting takes place on the third Thursday of every month, so if you miss this one, there's usually another coming up a few weeks later. Reservations are encouraged, which is a good call if you're planning to bring a group or want to make sure you have a spot. The tasting runs from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, October 15, and it's free.
