Comedy magic show by Wes Barker, winner of Penn & Teller: Fool Us, blending hilarious true stories with amazing tricks.
Wes Barker is playing Goodnights Comedy Club on Thursday, November 19, at 7:30 PM. He's a comedy-magic act, which is exactly what it sounds like: he mixes magic tricks with stand-up energy, weaving together true stories and mind-blowing magic, and occasionally throwing in a dangerous stunt. It's not a traditional magic show where you just watch a guy pull a rabbit out of a hat; the comedy is as much a part of it as the tricks.
Barker has a solid track record behind him. He was one of the first winners on Penn & Teller: Fool Us and has appeared on that show twice. Beyond that, he's been on Ellen, America's Got Talent, MTV's Greatest Party Stories Ever, Wizard Wars, Just For Laughs, Big Trick Energy on truTV, Kill Tony, and Netflix, with more than a billion views online. Howie Mandel called him "a comedy magic star," and he's promoted as the most famous magician who will still answer your DMs.
