Stand-up comedy special by Tacarra Williams, known as The Beautiful Beast, at Goodnights Comedy Club.
Tacarra Williams brings her stand-up to Goodnights Comedy Club on Friday, December 11, with the show starting at 7 PM. She's known in the comedy world as "The Beautiful Beast," a nickname that fits the range she pulls from. If you haven't caught her before, she's a school teacher, a plus-sized model, a motivational speaker, and a writer, and she lets all those roles bleed into her set. She talks about being a twin and one of seven siblings, being a young mother, and working as a Life Skills coach for inmates in the county jail. She also draws on her time on the streets of New York City, and she describes her work as being a voice for women.
She's spent plenty of time on some of the biggest stages in the business. She's opened for Tony Rock, Deray Davis, and Bill Bellamy, and has played Carolines, the Apollo Theatre, the Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Store, and Russell Simmons' All Def Digital. There's a 30-minute comedy special of hers on Comedy Central, produced by Kevin Hart, and she was featured on NBC's Bring the Funny. She also made her hosting debut on the CW's Totally Funny Kids and is the only woman to reach the finals of the Shaq Comedy All Star Competition.
