Stand-up comedy special event with Ron Funches at Goodnights Comedy Club.
Ron Funches is playing Goodnights Comedy Club over three nights from Friday, October 23, through Sunday, October 25. He's a stand-up who's spent the last few years working across a few different worlds at once, and this is a good chance to catch him live in Raleigh.
If you recognize the name but can't quite place it, you've probably heard his voice. He's a prolific voice actor, with roles in Pixar's Inside Out 2, the DreamWorks Trolls franchise, and Harley Quinn. He's also a regular on TV—you might know him from New Girl on Fox, Loot on Apple TV, or The Traitors on Peacock. Between the acting and the voice work, he's put out several acclaimed comedy specials, so the stand-up is the thing that ties it all together.
As for the style, he's described as the human embodiment of a warm hug that somehow learned to roast you with love—a master of joyful, disarming stand-up. It's the kind of comedy that doesn't rely on being mean or cynical to get a laugh, which makes it pretty easy to bring along whoever you're going with.
