Stand-up comedy special event featuring Mordechi Modi Rosenfeld, a top comedian from New York's comedy circuit.
Modi is playing Goodnights Comedy Club on Tuesday, November 10, at 7:30 PM. If you're not familiar with the name, his full name is Mordechi Modi Rosenfeld, and he's a regular on the New York and Los Angeles comedy circuits. He's one of those comics who has spent a lot of time in the rooms that matter, and he's coming to Raleigh with a career that's built on that kind of steady, club-level work.
His path to the stage wasn't a straight line. Born in Tel Aviv, he moved to the US at seven and grew up on Long Island. After graduating from Boston University, he spent time as an investment banker until an open-mic night convinced him that stand-up was his true calling. Since then, he's become a fixture in the New York scene, where The Hollywood Reporter once named him one of the city's top 10 comedians. He's appeared on HBO, CBS, NBC, ABC, Comedy Central, Howard Stern, and E! Entertainment, and has been written about in The New York Times, Time Out NY, and The New York Post.
Beyond the clubs, he's a co-founder of The Chosen Comedy Festival, a celebration of Jewish humor he launched in 2022. He's also played himself on HBO's Crashing and Netflix's When Jews Were Funny, and starred in two feature films, Waiting for Woody Allen—which won the LA Film Festival—and Stand Up. In 2018, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio declared June 26th 'Mordechi Modi Rosenfeld Day' in the city.
