A local running group meeting for 3 and 5 mile routes, followed by $5 beers at Sir Walter Coffee.
Sir Walter Coffee is kicking off a new stretch of Tuesday night runs on October 13, and it's one that runs all the way through the end of the year. The Sir Walter Coffee Run Club meets every other Tuesday at 6 PM, alternating between their different locations around town, with this particular leg starting at Sir Walter Coffee at 145 E Davie St in the Moore Square district.
When you show up, you get to pick your distance: there's a 3-mile route and a 5-mile route, so you can go for the shorter loop if you're just looking to stretch your legs or take the longer one if you're in the mood for a bit more. The group runs together, and once everyone is back, the night wraps up with $5 beers and a chance to hang out and meet some new people. It's a low-pressure way to get some miles in during the week and find a few running partners along the way.
This isn't a one-off thing, either. The club has been running since June 19, when they held their first meeting at 555 Fayetteville St, and this current stretch of Tuesday night runs fills the calendar through December 29. Since they meet bi-weekly, you've got plenty of time to fit it into your schedule without it taking over your whole week. If you miss one, there's always another coming up a couple of weeks later.
