Raleigh Walking Tours is running the Sip n' Stroll Raleigh Ghost Tour downtown on Wednesday, Oct 16, from 7 PM to 8:15 PM, and again on Saturday, Oct 17, from 4:45 PM to 6 PM. It's their most popular ghost tour, and it runs several times throughout October, so you've got a couple of options to choose from depending on whether a weekday evening or a Saturday afternoon works better for you.

The tour winds through the heart of downtown Raleigh, stopping at local legends and haunted hotspots along the way. One of those stops is what they call the most haunted building in the city, and as you go, they share the spooky tales of restless spirits lingering from Raleigh's dramatic past. It's the only ghost tour in downtown Raleigh that lets you sip your favorite cocktail or other adult beverage while you walk, which is where the name comes from.

That part is tied to the Sip n' Stroll Downtown Raleigh social district, a City of Raleigh outdoor social district open seven days a week from 10 AM to 10 PM. Within the district, you can carry alcoholic beverages bought from licensed establishments while you explore the city's culinary scene, local fashion, public art, and historic architecture. Participating venues mark their windows with color-coded clings: green for 'Sold Here', blue for 'Welcome Here', and red for 'Not Permitted Here'.
