A ghost tour through downtown Raleigh's haunted history within the Sip n' Stroll district, with advance registration required.
Raleigh Walking Tours is running the Sip n' Stroll Raleigh Ghost Tour through downtown Raleigh over the next few weeks. It's the only ghost tour in the city that stays entirely within the Sip n' Stroll district, so you're not trekking across town—you're threading through the haunted history of the downtown core.
The tour stops at historic sites and recounts tales of restless spirits from the city's dramatic past, including a stop at the building said to be the most haunted in Raleigh. It's aimed at paranormal enthusiasts and history buffs alike, so it works whether you're there for the ghosts or just the old stories. The whole thing is part of the Sip n' Stroll Downtown Raleigh social district, a City of Raleigh Social District where you can carry alcoholic beverages bought from licensed establishments while you shop at local retailers, take in public art and festivals, and see the area's historic architecture alongside its newer developments. Venues show their status with window clings: green for 'Sold Here', blue for 'Welcome Here', and red for 'Not Permitted Here'.
