Room 861 at Goodnights: Ray Lau

Ray Lau is headlining Goodnights Comedy Club in Raleigh on Thursday, November 19, with the show starting at 8 PM. He's a Cantonese American standup comedian whose style audiences describe as unique, relatable, lighthearted and playful.

If you've come across his work online, you probably recognize the 'Chipotle Bean Scheme' joke, which has racked up millions of views. That's the kind of material he's known for—the kind of observational comedy that takes a specific, everyday situation and stretches it into something that lands with a lot of people. He's a regular on the Southern California circuit, playing stages like Don't Tell Comedy, The Hollywood Improv and Flappers, and his debut on the digital platform Don't Tell Comedy premiered that same summer. This Raleigh date brings that West Coast set to North Carolina.

Goodnights is an 18+ venue, so you'll need to be of age to get in. Seating is a mix: there's general admission on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you want a good spot, it's worth getting there early. There are also reserved seats available if you'd rather have your place locked in ahead of time. The club is fully accessible, too. The show kicks off at 8 PM on Thursday, November 19.
