Room 861 at Goodnights: Papp Johnson

Papp Johnson is playing Goodnights Comedy Club on Wednesday, December 10, 2026, at 7:30 PM. He's a stand-up comedian based in Los Angeles, and this is a solo set in the club's Room 861.

If you haven't come across his name before, here's the context: Johnson's debut comedy special and album, Timeless, was named one of the best albums of 2023 by Paste Magazine. That's a high bar for a debut, and it's the record that put him on the map. Since then, he's performed for Comedy Central's Featuring and LMAOF, two of the network's stand-up showcases, so he's no stranger to a professional stage.

The show is in Room 861, one of the smaller rooms at Goodnights, which keeps things tight and close to the stage. It's a mid-week date, a Wednesday night, so it's a good one if you're looking for something to do in the middle of the week rather than waiting for the weekend. The set starts at 7:30 PM, and since it's a comedy club, you'll want to get there a bit early to get settled before the show kicks off.

One practical detail to keep in mind: there's a two-item-per-person minimum of food or drink from the menu in the Showroom, so come prepared to order a couple of things while you're there. Between that and the 7:30 PM start, you've got the full picture for the night.
