Stand-up comedy show with Brendan Donegan at Goodnights Comedy Club in Raleigh.
Brendan Donegan plays Goodnights Comedy Club on Thursday, October 22, at 8 PM. He'll be performing in Room 861, one of the smaller spaces at the club in Raleigh's Village District.
Donegan is a rising stand-up who got his start in Philadelphia and now splits his time between Philly and New York. He's a regular at New York Comedy Club, as well as Helium and Punchline in Philadelphia. In 2024, he was a finalist in New York Comedy Club's stand-up competition and first runner-up in Helium's 'Philly's Phunniest.' His stand-up has also appeared on TruTV and Sirius XM.
His sets are built around charismatic stage presence, quick punchlines, and honest, self-aware storytelling. He pulls his material from everyday life, family chaos, and his own questionable decision-making, so it's the kind of comedy that comes from a real place rather than a script. If you've seen him before, you know he's a storyteller who doesn't mind making himself the punchline.

Goodnights has hosted names like Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Chris Rock, Drew Carey, and Ray Romano. The club was upgraded in the summer of 2023 and now has eight comedy rooms, with a main showroom capacity of 260. Room 861 is one of the smaller ones—about 750 square feet with a theater capacity of 60—so it's a tighter, more intimate setting than the main room. The show is 18+; it starts at 8 PM on Thursday, October 22, at 401 Woodburn Rd. in Midtown Raleigh.
