A workshop helping students translate academic achievements and leadership into a professional resume, part of the Multicultural Student Affairs Professional Development Series.
Multicultural Student Affairs is hosting a resume-building workshop at the Talley Student Union on Wednesday, October 14, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. It's part of their Professional Development Series, which is designed to help students get a handle on the skills and experiences they'll need to succeed at NC State.
The session focuses on how to translate academic achievements, cultural wealth, and student leadership into a professional resume. It's one thing to have a list of classes and clubs; it's another to frame them in a way that makes sense to a hiring manager. The workshop also walks through how to decode modern hiring practices, so you can write impact-driven bullet points instead of just listing duties. It's timed for the end of the summer hiring season, when you're likely looking toward what comes next.
