A late-night DJ networking event open to the public every Tuesday at Neptunes Parlour, where creatives can meet and enjoy music.
Open Decks is back at Neptunes Parlour on Tuesday, October 13, as part of its weekly run in downtown Raleigh. It's a late-night gathering for DJs, music enthusiasts and nightlife professionals, and the floor is open to everyone: DJs can sign up to play via Instagram or simply show up in person. If you're not behind the decks, it's a networking space where creatives can meet and enjoy music, and it's open to the public.
That's the thing about this oneβit's not a closed-door industry party. Whether you're a working DJ, a bedroom selector, or just someone who likes to hang out and hear what people are playing, you're welcome. The open-decks format means the lineup changes from night to night, and the music depends on who shows up and what they bring. If you've been wanting to get your name out there or just want to see what the local scene sounds like on a Tuesday, this is a low-pressure way to do it.
It's a weekly thing, so if you miss the 13th, you've got plenty more to choose from. The run continues through the fall and into the winter: October 20, 27, 24 and 31, then November 3, 10, 17 and 24, and finally December 1. That's ten Tuesdays in a row, so you can drop in once or make a habit of it.
