Lords of Acid live with Princess Superstar, Tony & The Kiki and Mz Neon on their Cheeky Freaky Tour Part 2.
Lords of Acid play Chapel of Bones on Friday, October 30, as part of their Cheeky Freaky Tour Part 2. They aren't coming alone: Princess Superstar, Tony & The Kiki, and Mz Neon are all on the bill, so it's a full night rather than just a headliner set. The show starts at 6:30 PM.
For those who don't know the name, Lords of Acid is a Belgian dance-industrial hybrid fronted by Praga Khan, who started the project in the late 1980s. They built their following on a provocative mix of electronic and industrial sounds, and over the years the discography has become a cult thing among collectors. Metropolis Records reissued the 1991 album Lust, and Khan later oversaw the 2017 re-release of out-of-print classics including LUST, Voodoo-U, Our Little Secret, and Farstucker.
That 2017 reissue coincided with the band's first North American tour in six years, which played Voodoo-U in its entirety. The Cheeky Freaky Tour Part 2 continues that live revival, and the Raleigh date is one stop on a run of US shows. So if you've been following the re-releases, this is the tour that brings that era back to the stage.
