Joe List

Joe List is headlining Goodnights Comedy Club in Raleigh on Thursday, November 5, at 7 PM. If you've seen his name around but aren't sure where he fits in, he's a veteran of the club circuit who's been working this since the very beginning. He started his comedy career in Boston in 2000, just weeks after graduating from high school, and has spent the twenty-plus years since then building a presence that reaches well beyond the local scene.

That background shows up in the credits. He's appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with David Letterman, and Conan, and he was in the second season of Netflix's The Stand Ups. In 2015, he was a finalist on NBC's Last Comic Standing, and he later put out a half-hour comedy special on Comedy Central. He's also got two albums, So Far No Good and Are You Mad at Me?, which get regular airplay on Sirius Radio. When he's not headlining clubs across North America, he's a regular at the Comedy Cellar in New York City, so this is a pro coming into town.

Beyond the stand-up, he co-hosts the weekly podcast Tuesdays with Stories, which gives you a sense of how he spends his time when he isn't on a stage. Between the TV spots, the albums, and the podcast, there's a lot of material to pull from for a single night.

Goodnights is an 18+ club, so keep that in mind if you're bringing a group. Seating is general admission on a first-come, first-served basis, though management also assigns reserved seats on the night. The show starts at 7 PM on Thursday, November 5.
