Late-night haunted trolley tour of downtown Raleigh's most haunted places with a ghost host, exploring local ghost legends and historic sites.
Haunted Trolley Tours are back at Mordecai Historic Park on Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, for two nights of late-night ghost tours through downtown Raleigh. The tours run from 7 PM to 10 PM, with three separate departures each night at 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00 PM, so you can pick the slot that fits your evening best.
A ghost host leads the trolley on a loop of downtown's most haunted spots, where they'll walk you through local ghost legends and historic sites. The host describes it as a way to encounter the ghostly visitors of years past and turn the city's history into a haunted experience, so it's less of a dry history lecture and more of a guided look at the stories that have stuck around Raleigh long after the people in them were gone. It's a different way to see some of the city's oldest tales, told from the seat of a trolley rather than on foot.

The tours start and end at Mordecai Historic Park, a three-acre site centered on the Mordecai Plantation House, which serves as the home for the park's Halloween-season programming. Because of the frightening elements, the tour is recommended for ages 6 and up, so keep that in mind if you're bringing kids along. Advanced registration is recommended, especially if you have a specific departure time in mind. Tickets are $15, and the tours run Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, with departures at 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00 PM from Mordecai Historic Park at 1 Mimosa St, Raleigh, NC 27604.
