Annual fundraiser with a multi-course dinner under the stars, live music, wine and beer pairings, and a silent auction.
Raleigh City Farm is hosting its annual Harvest Dinner on Sunday, October 11, from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM at its Blount Street location, 800 North Blount Street. It's the farm's biggest fundraiser of the year, and the money goes toward its operating budget and its second location at Marsh Creek Park. The night is built around a two-hour reception with passed hors d'oeuvres and drinks, followed by a multi-course dinner under the stars, with the menu centered on locally sourced ingredients and paired with wine and beer. Live music runs through the evening.
This year's partner is Brewery Bhavana, which opened in 2014 and has grown into a brewery, taproom, flower shop, bookstore, and dim sum house; Chef Chun is handling the menu. The wine comes from Wine Authorities, whose Raleigh location is just steps from the farm, and they're bringing bottles from family-owned wineries around the world. Between the courses, there's a silent auction to bid in, and the farm's Big Blooms mural is there for photos.
