The kaiju film Godzilla Minus Zero is shown in IMAX at the Marbles Kids Museum, presented in Japanese with English subtitles.
Godzilla Minus Zero comes to Marbles IMAX at the Marbles Kids Museum starting November 3, with showtimes running through November 11. It's the Japanese-language film presented with English subtitles, and it's rated R.
If you're wondering why the IMAX part matters, here's the scale: Marbles IMAX is the only Certified Giant Screen in Raleigh. The screen is about three stories tall—54 by 70 feet, which is a far cry from a standard 19 by 43 foot screen—and it's paired with state-of-the-art IMAX surround sound. It's a movie built for that kind of room.
Because it's rated R, there are a few things to keep in mind before you buy. Tickets are sold only to guests over 17; anyone under 17 has to be accompanied by a parent or guardian at least 25 years old with a valid physical ID. Also, IMAX tickets are non-refundable, though you can get a credit issued to your Marbles account if you email them at least 24 hours before showtime.

Tickets are $14 for adults and $11 for children ages 1 to 11, with Marbles Member adults also at $14 and seniors, military, and college students at $12—none of those include sales tax. If you're looking to save, Discount Tuesdays bring documentaries down to $4 and features to half price. The concessions stand has candy, nachos, popcorn, soft drinks, and ICEEs, along with a rotating selection of beer, wine, and seltzers. You'll find the theater at 201 East Hargett Street in downtown Raleigh.
